Association for Physical Education
The Association for Physical Education is committed to being the UK representative organisation of choice for people and agencies delivering or supporting the delivery of physical education in schools and in the wider community. Their purpose is to promote and maintain high standards and safe practice in all aspects of and at all levels of physical education.
British Gymnastics
British Gymnastics (BG) is the UK National Governing Body for the sport of gymnastics. It is a non profit organisation dedicated to developing levels and quality of provision across a range of disciplines.
British Judo Association
The British Judo Association (BJA) is the governing body for the olympic sport of judo in Great Britain. The Association represents Great Britain internationally and is a member of The International Judo Federation, The European Judo Union, The Judo Confederation of the European Union, The British Olympic Association, The Central Council of Physical Recreation, Commonwealth Judo Association and the Commonwealth Games Council.
English Basketball
In September 1996, the English Basketball Association created the Outdoor Basketball Initiative (OBI) with the aim of providing basketball for all. Almost five years to the date after the OBI concept was first submitted to the then English Sports Council Lottery Sports Fund, grant aid of £10 million has enabled 9,150 robust outdoor basketball goals to be installed in 352 local authorities throughout England.
England and Wales Cricket Board
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the governing body for all cricket in England and Wales. The England and Wales Cricket Board provides support for the game far beyond the boundaries of just international and first class cricket.
England Hockey
England Hockey is the National Governing Body for hockey and undertakes a number of roles such as setting the strategic direction for the sport, co-ordinates the competition structure throughout the sport, co-ordinates the transfer of knowledge of best practice throughout the sport, interface with external bodies, developing the image of the sport, talent identification and development of athletes.
England Squash
England Squash is the governing body for squash and racketball in England and is responsible for the organisation and promotion of both sports.
Activity Alliance
Activity Alliance is the umbrella organisation for disability sport in England.
Table Tennis England
Table Tennis England is the governing body of table tennis in England.
Volleyball England
Volleyball England is the recognised National Governing Body for Volleyball in all its forms, including Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Sitting Volleyball in England.
The Federation of Sports and Play Associations
The Federation of Sports and Play Association (FSPA) is the national trade body representing the UK’s sports and play industries. Member companies include manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, sales agents, retailers and operators of sports and play goods and services, acting collectively to promote, develop and protect their industry.
Fields in Trust
Fields in Trust (FIT) is the only independent UK-wide organisation dedicated to protecting and improving outdoor sports and play spaces and facilities.
